Role Overview

This is a high-ownership sales & marketing role for an ambitious export professional who knows how agri supply chains work and wants to accelerate into a leadership position. You will manage international buyer relationships, drive category growth, close deals, and scale TopCrop’s export business across key product lines.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Identify, acquire and manage international buyers across essential oils, dehydrated fruits/vegetables, and spices.
  • Develop market entry and growth strategies for key geographies.
  • Own the complete sales cycle: outreach → qualification → negotiation → closure.
  • Conduct virtual and on-ground buyer meetings, trade discussions and product demos.
  • Build long-term relationships with importers, distributors, private labels and food manufacturers.

Marketing & Category Growth

  • Develop product positioning, pitch materials, samples strategy and pricing frameworks.
  • Map market trends, competitor activities and regulatory requirements across focus categories.
  • Work with founders to build new product lines and expand into new markets.

Supply Chain & Operations Coordination

  • Coordinate with procurement, quality and operations teams to ensure samples, certifications, and compliance requirements are met.
  • Provide forecast inputs to procurement teams; ensure export readiness of product batches.
  • Collaborate with operations for order execution, documentation and shipment scheduling.

Team Leadership & Process Building

  • Build, train, and lead the Sales & Marketing team

    , starting with existing interns.
  • Create structured processes for lead management, CRM usage, reporting, and sales operations.
  • Set performance goals for the team and drive accountability.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years

    of experience in agri exports, international trade, or B2B commodity sales.
  • Strong understanding of export workflows, buyer expectations, pricing structures, and certifications.
  • Category or supply chain experience in

    essential oils, dehydrated produce, or spices

    is a strong advantage.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • High ownership mindset — comfortable with fast-paced, unstructured environments.
  • Ability to travel for buyer meetings, trade fairs, and supplier visits.

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience working with FPOs, agri processors, or export houses.
  • Exposure to EU, US, Middle East or Australian food import regulations.
  • Existing buyer network in food & ingredients categories.
