Senior Android Developer

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality Android applications using Kotlin (and Java as needed).
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Backend teams to define, design, and implement new features.
• Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into polished, responsive code.
• Ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness of the app across devices.
• Integrate with RESTful APIs and third-party libraries.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks, bugs, and other performance issues.
• Write and maintain unit tests to ensure code robustness and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and uphold high code quality standards.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior developers, helping to grow the team’s capabilities.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in Android development.
  

Qualifications & Skills

• 6 - 8 years of hands-on experience in Android application development.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin (Java knowledge is a plus).
• Deep understanding of Android SDK, Android Studio, and the Android ecosystem.
• Solid experience with architectural patterns like MVVM, Clean Architecture, etc.
• Experience consuming RESTful APIs and working with data-driven applications.
• Familiarity with version control tools such as Git.
• Good understanding of memory management, background processing, threading, and performance optimization.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with Jetpack libraries (e.g., Navigation, Room, Coroutines) is advantageous.
• Experience publishing apps on the Google Play Store is a plus.
