Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day‑to‑day accounting operations including sales, purchase, expenses, and bank, cash and journal entries.
  • Supervise accounts staff; check their entries, reconciliations and documentation and ensure books are updated daily.
  • Prepare monthly trial balance, Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and other MIS reports as required by management.
  • Handle accounts receivable and payable: customer outstanding follow‑up, supplier payment planning, ageing analysis.
  • Perform bank reconciliations, vendor and customer reconciliations on a regular basis.
  • Ensure proper control over inventory valuation (gold, diamonds, finished jewellery) in coordination with stores/production.
  • Verify GST invoices, input credit, and assist in preparation and filing of GST returns, TDS, and other statutory compliances.
  • Coordinate with external auditors for statutory, internal and tax audits; prepare schedules and resolve audit queries.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls, approvals, and documentation (vouchers, supporting bills, agreements).
  • Assist in budgeting, cost analysis and variance reporting; provide financial data to support business decisions.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information and ensure data is properly backed up and secured.
  • Handle bank queries, cheque clearances, RTGS/NEFT issues and regular bank reconciliations with proper documentation
  • Manage petty cash: recording daily cash expenses, maintaining petty cash book and submitting reimbursement statements with bills.
  • Follow up with clients for outstanding payments and track due dates and update collection status in the system.
  • Prepare daily reports: sales bill summary, petty cash report, bank payment and receipt report, and share with management

Qualifications

  • B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) or equivalent; professional courses (CA Inter, CMA Inter) preferred.
  • 5–8 years of experience in accounting
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, GST, TDS and other Indian taxation basics.
  • Proficiency in Tally / ERP accounting software and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Table, basic formulas).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
