Position Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to oversee financial operations and reporting for our Turnkey Project business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project-based accounting, taxation, compliance, and cost control. This role will ensure the company’s financial processes support the successful execution and profitability of engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) or turnkey projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day accounting functions including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.

Prepare project-wise cost tracking, budgets vs actual analysis, and profitability reports.

Monitor and record all financial transactions related to materials, subcontractors, labor, and overheads across multiple projects.

Ensure timely invoicing, follow-up for payments, and manage client and subcontractor accounts.

Handle statutory compliance including GST, TDS, PF/ESI, and other regulatory filings.

Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual returns (GST, TDS, Income Tax).

Coordinate with auditors for internal, statutory, and project audits.

Assist in preparing cash flow projections and managing working capital.

Maintain accurate documentation and records for billing, purchase orders, contracts, and project expenses.

Review and verify vendor bills, subcontractor claims, and site expenses.

Support the finance team in budgeting, forecasting, and MIS reporting.

Qualifications:

Education: B.Com / M.Com / CA-Inter / MBA (Finance) or equivalent.

Experience: 5–8 years of accounting experience, preferably in turnkey projects, construction, EPC, or contracting companies.

Proficient in project accounting, job costing, and financial controls.

Strong knowledge of Indian taxation laws (GST, TDS, etc.) and regulatory compliance.

Familiar with ERP systems (Tally Prime, SAP, Zoho Books, or other accounting software).

Advanced MS Excel skills and working knowledge of reconciliation, pivot tables, and VLOOKUP.

Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines with attention to detail.

Desirable Skills:

Experience working with site teams and project managers.

Exposure to commercial negotiations and client billing processes.

Knowledge of bank guarantee (BG), LC, and project-related financial instruments.

Experience in coordinating with consultants, CA firms, or tax advisors.
