Senior Accountant/Commercial Head

As a Senior Accountant/Commercial Head at our company located in Serampore, Hooghly, you will play a crucial role in overseeing financial operations and reporting for our Turnkey Project business. Your responsibilities will include: - Prepare project-wise cost tracking, budgets vs actual analysis, and profitability reports. - Monitor and record all financial transactions related to materials, subcontractors, labor, and overheads across multiple projects. - Handle statutory compliance including GST, TDS, PF/ESI, and other regulatory filings. - Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual returns (GST, TDS, Income Tax). - Coordinate with auditors for internal, statutory, and project audits. - Assist in preparing cash flow projections and managing working capital. - Maintain accurate documentation and records for billing, purchase orders, contracts, and project expenses. - Review and verify vendor bills, subcontractor claims, and site expenses. - Support the finance team in budgeting, forecasting, and MIS reporting. Qualifications required for this role include: - Education: B.Com / M.Com / CA-Inter / MBA (Finance) or equivalent. - Experience: 5-8 years of accounting experience, preferably in turnkey projects, construction, EPC, or contracting companies. - Proficient in project accounting, job costing, and financial controls. - Strong knowledge of Indian taxation laws (GST, TDS, etc.) and regulatory compliance. - Familiar with ERP systems (Tally Prime, SAP, Zoho Books, or other accounting software). - Advanced MS Excel skills and working knowledge of reconciliation, pivot tables, and VLOOKUP. - Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines with attention to detail. Desirable Skills: - Experience working with site teams and project managers. - Exposure to commercial negotiations and client billing processes. - Knowledge of bank guarantee (BG), LC, and project-related financial instruments. - Experience in coordinating with consultants, CA firms, or tax advisors.
