Position: Senior Accountant (1)

Location: Shela, Ahmedabad

Branches: Uttar Pradesh, Odisha & Andhra Pradesh

Salary: ₹30,000 – ₹40,000 per month

Experience: 4 – 6 years

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in Shela,

Ahmedabad. The ideal candidate will oversee general accounting operations, ensure financial

accuracy, and maintain compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. You will handle everything

from account reconciliation and ledger maintenance to statutory reporting and coordination with

auditors and authorities.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting Operations

• Review and manage accounts payable and receivable.

• Prepare and issue E-invoices, Proforma invoices, and other billing documents.

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger and bank statements.

• Prepare journal entries, balance sheets, and monthly financial reports.

• Handle month-end and year-end closing activities.

Taxation & Compliance

• Manage GST, TDS, and Income Tax return filings.

• Ensure compliance with Indian Companies Act and other relevant regulations.

• Liaise with government authorities (e.g., IT Department, GST Department) for companyrelated matters.

• Coordinate with the company CA on statutory filings, audits, and documentation.

• Facilitate internal and external audits and support tax audits and returns.

Financial Analysis & Reporting

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and analytical reports.

• Review and analyze financial data to identify discrepancies or areas for improvement.

• Develop recommendations to optimize accounting systems and procedures.

• Support forecasting, budget preparation, and financial standards setting.

Leadership & Collaboration

• Supervise accounting assistants and bookkeepers, assigning and reviewing tasks.

• Provide guidance on accounting controls and best practices.

• Work closely with management to support strategic financial decisions.

• Ensure adherence to company policies and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

(GAAP).

Payroll Processing:

• Prepare, process, and verify monthly payroll for all employees.

• Ensure accurate calculation of salaries, overtime, incentives, bonuses, and deductions.

• Maintain payroll records and ensure timely salary disbursement.

Compliance & Statutory Management:

• Handle statutory deductions such as PF, ESI, TDS, Professional Tax, etc.

• Ensure timely filing of returns and remittances to government authorities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Commerce, CA, or equivalent qualification.

• 4–6 years of relevant accounting experience.

• Proficiency in Tally, MS Office (especially Excel), and other accounting software.

• Strong understanding of Indian accounting standards, taxation, and statutory compliance.

• Excellent command of English, Hindi, and at least one regional language.

• High degree of accuracy, integrity, and responsibility.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
