Senior Accountant

Job Title: Senior AccountantJob Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions. This role involves ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting, managing reconciliations, supporting audits, and guiding junior accounting staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP or IFRS.
• Oversee general ledger accounting, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Assist with external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decisions.
• Supervise and mentor junior accountants and accounts staff.
• Maintain and improve accounting procedures and systems.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Assist in tax preparation and filing as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
• Minimum of 4–6 years of accounting experience; senior-level or supervisory experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical ability.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

Work Environment:

• Full-time role, typically in an office setting or hybrid/remote depending on company policy.
• May involve periodic extended hours during month-end/year-end close or audits.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
