Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to manage the end-to-end accounting, financial reporting, and compliance functions at Muun Home. The ideal candidate has hands-on, analytical, and process-driven — capable of managing daily accounting while also delivering insight through financial analysis and monthly MIS.

You will directly handle accounting operations and have one team member to support with data entry and transactional tasks.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Bookkeeping

• Manage day-to-day accounting in Zoho Books·
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of journal entries, vendor bills, and customer invoices.
• Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all accounts are reconciled monthly (bank, vendor, customer).

2. Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare monthly MIS reports, P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
• Track and analyze key business metrics to support decision-making.
• Highlight trends, variances, and opportunities for financial control and efficiency.

3. Accounts Payable & Receivable

• Oversee vendor payments, ensure timely reconciliations, and manage credit terms.
• Track customer payments and ensure timely collections.
• Work with cross-functional teams to resolve payment or billing discrepancies.

4. Compliance & Taxation

• Manage GST, TDS, and basic tax compliance activities.
• Coordinate with external CA or consultants for statutory filings, audits, and financial closure.

5. Financial Control & Process Improvement

• Strengthen internal controls, expense tracking, and financial discipline.
• Support in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.
• Improve accounting processes and documentation for scalability.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in Zoho Books.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, logical functions).
• In-depth understanding of GAAP / Ind AS / IFRS principles.
• Solid working knowledge of GST, TDS, and tax compliance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight reporting deadlines.
• Prior experience in a D2C / startup environment preferred.

Qualifications

• B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification.
• 6–7 years of accounting experience, preferably in a product-based or D2C setup.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
