Job Description

Position: Senior Accountant

Hussain City Project – Aykkarappadi, Malappuram District, Kerala

This role requires expertise in accounting, compliance, and project finance management. The candidate will work closely with project managers, government authorities, and external auditors to ensure transparency and efficiency in all financial matters.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and project accounts.
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flow for the township project.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including GST, TDS, and other tax regulations.
Manage payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and vendor payments.
Conducting audits (internal/external), coordinating with auditors, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations/tax laws
Provide financial insights and recommendations to support project decision-making, implement internal controls, and ensure adherence to accounting standards.
Supervising or mentoring team members; delegating tasks; ensuring accuracy and consistency in accounting processes.

Qualifications & Skills

Master’s degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting.
Professional certification is an added advantage.
Minimum 5–7 years of experience in accounting, with exposure to infrastructure or township projects.
Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards, taxation, and compliance.
Proficiency in accounting software / ERP systems (e.g. Tally, SAP, etc) for bookkeeping, ledgers, reconciliation etc.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and lead a finance team.
