Senior Accountant

About ESZETT is a rapidly growing men’s fashion and lifestyle eCommerce brand focused on premium quality, fast operations, and exceptional customer experience. We are expanding our internal finance and compliance team to support our growth and operational scale. Role OverviewThe Senior Accountant will manage and oversee day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, compliance, and reconciliation for ESZETT. This role requires strong domain expertise, accuracy, and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced eCommerce environment. Key Responsibilities 1. Accounting & BookkeepingMaintain accurate books of accounts in Tally/Zoho/ERP systems. Ensure timely recording of all sales, purchases, expenses, and journal entries. Monitor accounts payable (vendors) and accounts receivable (marketplaces). 2. Marketplace Reconciliation (Myntra, Nykaa, Ajio, Amazon, etc.)Reconcile payments, commissions, returns, and TCS/TDS deductions. Identify mismatches in payouts and raise claims with platforms. Track RTO, refunds, and settlement reports to ensure accuracy. 3. GST, TDS & Statutory CompliancePrepare and file monthly/quarterly GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.). Manage TDS deductions, challans, and timely filing of returns. Maintain compliance with tax laws & coordinate with auditors for statutory filings. 4. Inventory & Cost ManagementCoordinate with warehouse and operations teams for monthly stock reconciliation. Track costing, margins, COGS, and product-wise profitability. Assist in budgeting and expense control. 5. Financial ReportingPrepare monthly MIS, P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash-flow reports. Generate operational financial dashboards for management review. Identify gaps in financial processes and recommend improvements. 6. Vendor & Bank ManagementHandle vendor payments, credit cycles, and ledger reconciliation. Manage multiple bank accounts, payment gateways, and loan/OD facilities. Ensure timely settlement and proper documentation of financial transactions. Key Skills & Qualifications3–7 years of accounting experience, preferably with eCommerce or retail brands. Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, reconciliation, and financial reporting. Proficiency in Tally / Zoho Books / ERP systems. Advanced Excel skills and comfort with data-heavy reports. High attention to detail and strong analytical mindset. Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
