Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and overseeing the work of two junior accountants. This role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to streamline financial processes to support the company’s growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Supervision & Guidance
• Oversee the daily work of two junior accountants, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Provide training, mentoring, and performance feedback to junior staff.
• Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and reports prepared by junior accountants.
• Financial Operations
• Manage general ledger accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing.
• Ensure timely preparation and submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and expense management.
• Compliance & Controls
• Ensure adherence to accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls.
• Coordinate with auditors and support statutory audits.
• Maintain accurate documentation for compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Process Improvement
• Identify areas for improving financial efficiency and accuracy.
• Implement best practices in accounting processes and reporting.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CMA preferred).
• Minimum3 years of professional accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or ERP systems).
• Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Effective communication and team management skills.
