The Accountant shall be responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations of construction projects, ensuring accurate accounting, cost control, statutory compliance, and timely financial reporting. Key Responsibilities: Maintain books of accounts including cash book, bank book, ledgers, and journal entries Record and monitor all construction project–related expenses, receipts, and payments Prepare project-wise cost statements and budget vs actual analysis Handle contractor, supplier, and subcontractor billing and payments Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable Reconcile bank statements, cash balances, and project accounts regularly Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Maintain GST and TDS records, prepare statutory returns, and ensure compliance Coordinate with auditors and support internal and external audits Track advances, mobilization advances, retention money, and RA bills Assist in payroll processing and statutory deductions Ensure proper documentation and filing of vouchers, invoices, work orders, and contracts Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry Hands-on experience in project accounting and construction cost control Working knowledge of GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances related to construction Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally and MS Excel Reporting To: Project Manager / Managing Director Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Work Location: In person
