Job Summary:

Senior Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

Journal Entry Management:
Prepare, review, and post complex journal entries in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Account Reconciliations:
Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate and resolve reconciling items on a timely basis.
Variance Analysis:
Analyze fluctuations in financial results and provide insightful commentary on key drivers for variances against budget or prior periods.
Financial Statement Support:
Assist in the preparation of internal and external financial statements in accordance with applicable GAAP/IFRS standards.
Audit and Compliance:
Support internal and external audit requirements by preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to audit queries.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for improving accounting processes and assist in implementation of automation or controls where applicable.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Coordinate with other finance teams including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and FP&A to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA/CA preferred
4–6 years of experience in general ledger accounting or similar roles
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) preferred
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
