Job Title: Security Automation Engineer Experience - 5-10 Yrs PURPOSE OF ROLE Design and implement automated security solutions to enhance threat detection, response, and compliance. Develop and maintain Python, PowerShell, or Bash scripts to automate security operations tasks. Integrate security automation into CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments. Reduce manual intervention in security operations through scripting and orchestration tools. Collaborate with security, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to implement scalable security controls. Automate routine security tasks, including log analysis, alert triage, and vulnerability management. Develop custom tools and scripts for integrating disparate security systems and APIs. Maintain and improve SOAR workflows to streamline incident response processes. Continuously evaluate new security automation technologies and frameworks for implementation. Ensure security automation initiatives align with business goals, compliance requirements, and risk appetite. KEY TASKS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES Develop and maintain automation scripts using SOAR to support security operations, including incident response, alert triage, and compliance monitoring. Integrate and orchestrate security tools and platforms (e.g., SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanners, SOAR) using APIs and automation frameworks. Automate vulnerability scanning, reporting, and remediation tracking. Embed security gates into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI to enforce automated SAST, DAST, and secrets scanning. Build and maintain monitoring dashboards and automated reporting for security metrics and compliance. Research and deploy new technologies that enhance security automation and orchestration. Participate in threat detection and response, contributing to post-incident reviews and automation improvements. Ensure automation solutions are documented, version-controlled, and tested for reliability and security. COMPETENCIES, QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS Please list the following requirements Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field. Hands on experience with SOAR Platforms. 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, DevSecOps, or related roles with a focus on automation. Proficiency in scripting/programming (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell). Experience integrating security tools and services through APIs and managing automation workflows within platforms such as SIEM, SOAR, and cloud environments. Experience with observability tools such as the ELK stack, to develop automated dashboards and monitor security operations. Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment. Eagerness to stay current with evolving cybersecurity threats, toolsets, and industry best practices. Ability to build trust through fairness and honesty.
