Job Purpose/ Summary

Responsible for taking end-to-end ownership of maintenance functionn for the assigned plants in order to ensure maximum availability of equipment for quality & targeted production by minimising the equipment downtime, ensure availability of critical spares for maintenance and reduction of maintenance cost of the equipment. Execution of month wise preventive/predictive maintenance schedule for the equipments ( HT Motors & L T Motors, DC Motors, DC/AC Drives, EOT Cranes, Reheating F/c- Instrmentation/RTD/Thermal/Pressure/Flow, Hydraulic, Reading Central Circuits, troubleshooting finding & rectification, Mill Instrumentation, PLC, MCC, PDB.Prepare activity lists of maintenance activities and manpower resource requirementsEnsure maintenance activities in the mill are carried out in accordance with time, plan and costAnalyze breakdowns and prepare root cause analysis reportsRaise Purchase Requisitions (PR. for purchase of materials etc needed for maintenance activitiesPlan maintenance activities during change oversMaintaining a legal compliances adherance as required to be maintained.Ensure proper inventory of spare parts of the equipmentAnalysis of repetitive failure of equipments/assemblies/parts & implementation of related modification to eliminate the failure, thereby reducing cost. Take action to prevent the occurrence of non-conformance related to maintenance activitiesEnsure safe working environment and good housekeeping in the plant as per Environment Management System(EMS.. Assiting in data collection for preparing budget by analysing the previous year trends of consumption, procurement, capex and breakdowns Prepare list of requirements for major modifications and up-gradations.Assiting in Identifiying training needs in maintenance department and conducting OJT'sExecute training programs for engineers & Electrician for their developmentSupport interplant job rotation of employees

Section Head - SMS - Electrical Maintenance - Steel Plan and Perform Maintenance Activities : Execution of month wise preventive/predictive maintenance schedule for the equipment. Ensure maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with time, plan and cost. Analyze breakdowns and prepare root cause analysis reports. Overseeing legal compliances adherence as required to be maintained. 2. Drive initiatives to reduce the maintenance cost : Ensure proper inventory of spare parts of the equipment Analysis of repetitive failure of equipment/assemblies/parts and implementation of related modification to eliminate the failure, thereby reducing cost. 3. Industrial Safety : Take action to prevent the occurrence of non-conformance related to maintenance activities Ensure safe working environment and good housekeeping in the plant as per Environment Management System(EMS. 4. Preparation of yearly budget : Assisting in data collection for preparing budget by analyzing the previous year trends of consumption, procurement, capex and breakdowns. Execute training programs for engineers and fitters for their development. Support interplant job rotation of employees.
