Job Description

Purpose of the role/Position

The SAP S4HANA Production Planning (PP) Architect will need to have a broad understanding of all the business process areas and ensure the implementation & Support of the SAP Best Practices. Strong knowledge in SAP S4HANA PP Module & Proficiency in all areas of SAP PP (like Discreet, Process & Batch Manufacturing, Variant Config, BOM Mgt. SAP QM. Conduct discovery sessions with representatives from production, planning, quality & maintenance dept. to build good relationships, understand their unique needs & provide system support & error identification, timely resolution as per business expectations & define the priorities.

  • Responsible for analysis, advisory services, specification, and complex problem solving within the SAP area. Lead and assist in SAP design sessions or blueprint workshops. Expert in hand holding with business users & impact analysis. Primary function is to ensure that the organization's financial processes and transactions are accurately recorded, reported, and analyzed.
  • Validate and enhance the integration points between finance, strategy and planning processes, SAP components like Fiori, Portal, Analytics and other allied systems like HRMS, Happay, Mobility, Bots etc.
  • Should have worked in Production Planning department for at least 10-15 years in manufacturing company. Knowledge of Agro Chemical & Seed Business is an additional advantage.
  • Minimum three (3) full lifecycle SAP S4HANA implementations & three (3) support projects.


Desirable Total Years of work experience in relevant Industry

10-15 years of experience in a full SAP cycle implementation as well as in supporting projects in manufacturing company. Occasional business travel

Specific work experience in the domain area

Minimum of 5 years SAP HANA experience supporting processes: MPS/MRP, Planned order, MD04 exception resolution, capacity planning and levelling, Production order V/s Material Consumption analysis, component availability check, Goods issue, Goods receipt, confirmation, production order close, TECO, business completion, good knowledge of Production cycle, Interfaces, Handling unit. Good Knowledge of QM. Material Inspection, Inspection result, order release. Month end SFG, FG reconciliation, Goods Consumption, Integration with other Quality Software like LIMS etc.

Experience in PP integration points with other SAP modules like MM, SD, FI-CO, HR and PM. Ability to multitask and manage multiple deliverables and projects at the same time. Understanding of accounting business processes. Ability to understand business processes from a customer perspective. Ability to work in a team environment, effectively interacting with others. Must be results oriented, and demonstrate a “can-do” attitude – adaptability, flexibility and resourcefulness. Fluently in English & Hindi and Good Leadership, Communication & Presentation Skills.
