Role: Sales Trainee

Sales Trainee


Responsibilities:


1. Training & Development

  • Design, deliver, and manage training programs for sales teams (both new hires and existing staff).
  • Conduct induction training on company offerings – K12, NEET, and JEE courses/products.
  • Deliver regular refresher training on sales techniques, objection handling, and customer engagement.
  • Organize roleplays, mock calls, and simulations to strengthen practical sales skills.

2. Product & Domain Knowledge

  • Train the team on curriculum structure, pedagogy, and product differentiators.
  • Ensure sales reps understand NEET/JEE exam patterns, student pain points, and parental concerns.
  • Update the team on new product features, academic trends, and competitor offerings.

3. Sales Enablement

  • Develop training content, sales playbooks, FAQs, and objection-handling scripts.
  • Coach sales reps on consultative selling approaches (needs analysis, solution selling).
  • Equip teams to address parent/student objections (pricing, outcomes, syllabus alignment).

4. Performance Coaching

  • Monitor sales calls, demos, and pitches to identify training needs.
  • Provide feedback and one-on-one coaching sessions to underperformers.
  • Run periodic assessments, quizzes, and certifications to measure knowledge retention.

5. Collaboration

  • Work closely with sales managers to align training with business targets.
  • Coordinate with product, academic, and marketing teams to ensure accurate messaging.
  • Support hiring by helping assess candidates’ communication and sales aptitude.

6. Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Track training effectiveness through conversion ratios, productivity metrics, and feedback.
  • Identify gaps in knowledge, skills, or motivation and create improvement plans.
  • Continuously refine training modules based on market and customer insights.


Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills in 

    Telugu and English

  • Strong interpersonal and persuasion skills
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced EdTech environment
  • Basic computer knowledge and willingness to learn sales tools
