Role Overview

The Sales / Project Manager will be responsible for driving exhibition space sales, sponsorship sales, exhibitor acquisition, and overseeing project execution for a major B2B Sports Exhibition. The role requires strong industry networking, excellent client relationship skills, and the ability to manage the full exhibition lifecycle from planning to delivery.


Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Achieve sales targets for exhibition space, sponsorships, and advertising inventory.
  • Identify, approach, and close deals with prospective exhibitors, brands, federations, and industry stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain long-term strategic relationships within sports, fitness, infrastructure, and wellness industries.
  • Conduct market research and competitor mapping to identify new opportunities.
  • Manage proposals, pricing negotiation, contracts, and invoicing.

Project & Operations Management

  • Plan and execute the exhibition project end-to-end, including timelines, operations, exhibitor services, and vendor coordination.
  • Work closely with venue management, logistics partners, stall fabricators, registration teams, and contractors.
  • Ensure timely delivery of floor plans, exhibitor manuals, visitor marketing & operations schedules.
  • Coordinate internally with marketing, finance, creative, and production teams.
  • Manage exhibitor onboarding, support services, and onsite operations to ensure a seamless show experience.


Marketing & Promotion Support

  • Support marketing campaigns by aligning with industry partners, associations, influencers, and government bodies.
  • Assist in content planning for visitor promotion, conferences, and B2B networking programs.
  • Represent the event at industry trade shows, forums, and roadshows.


Skills & Qualifications

  • Graduate / Post Graduate (MBA preferred) in Marketing, Business Administration, Sports Management, or related field.
  • 4–10 years experience in B2B exhibitions/events/sports marketing/trade fairs.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Proven track record in sales target achievement.
  • Project management and stakeholder coordination experience.
  • Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong networking ability and understanding of the sports & fitness industry ecosystem.
