Job Description

Job Purpose:

To lead and manage the sales team in achieving tractor sales targets, building a strong dealer/customer network, and maintaining excellent customer satisfaction by providing suitable agricultural machinery solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Planning & Execution
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly/yearly sales plans and achieve assigned targets.
  • Identify new market opportunities and customer segments.
  • Execute promotional campaigns in rural areas and local events.
  • Team Management
  • Recruit, train, and motivate the sales team (Sales Executives, Field Officers).
  • Set performance targets and monitor individual/team performance.
  • Conduct regular field visits and provide on-field support and guidance.
  • Customer Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain relationships with farmers, local influencers, and large landowners.
  • Resolve customer complaints and queries promptly.
  • Ensure smooth delivery and after-sales coordination.
  • Dealer/Channel Management
  • Develop and manage sub-dealers and retail outlets if applicable.
  • Ensure dealer satisfaction and support them in local marketing efforts.
  • Market Intelligence
  • Monitor competitor activities, pricing, schemes, and market trends.
  • Gather customer feedback for product improvement and new features.
  • Reporting
  • Maintain and report daily/weekly/monthly sales MIS.
  • Provide forecasts and sales pipeline data to management.

Key Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
  • Knowledge of the local market and rural customer behavior
  • Understanding of agriculture machinery and applications
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and basic MS Office

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Graduate in Agriculture / Marketing / Business Administration (preferred)
  • 5–8 years of experience in tractor/agricultural equipment sales
  • Experience in managing a sales team and achieving rural sales targets

Working Conditions:

  • Extensive fieldwork and rural travel
  • Must own or be willing to use personal vehicle for field travel (if required)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month

Schedule:

  • Day shift

Supplemental Pay:

  • Yearly bonus

Language:

  • English (Preferred)
