Position Overview: The Sales & Marketing Engineer will be responsible for driving business growth through active field sales, extensive mapping of industrial areas, and consistent engagement with existing and potential customers. This role demands a self-motivated professional capable of achieving sales targets through frequent site visits, strong relationship-building, and a thorough understanding of products and customer applications. Key Responsibilities Market Development & Industrial Mapping Conduct detailed mapping of industrial zones, manufacturing clusters, and upcoming project areas within the assigned territory. Identify and segment potential customers by industry type, scale, and application area. Maintain a structured database of industries, key decision-makers, and business potential. Continuously update market intelligence regarding competitors, new projects, and emerging opportunities. Field Sales & Customer Engagement Ensure extensive field coverage with regular site visits across the assigned geography. Meet customers (end users, consultants, contractors, and OEMs) to generate enquiries and understand application requirements. Promote company products and solutions effectively, highlighting technical and commercial advantages. Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and joint visits with technical teams where required. Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets through systematic prospecting and closing. Sales Process Management Prepare and submit quotations, proposals, and techno-commercial offers. Negotiate with clients to finalize orders within company pricing and policy guidelines. Coordinate with internal departments (design, logistics, service) to ensure smooth order execution and customer satisfaction. Maintain updated records of enquiries, offers, orders, and collections. Marketing Coordination Work closely with the marketing team to plan promotional activities, exhibitions, and customer meets. Provide feedback on market trends and customer needs to support marketing campaigns. Assist in developing local marketing material and case studies based on successful applications. Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Industrial preferred). Min 2–3 years of experience in industrial sales, B2B marketing, or project-based selling. Strong technical aptitude with ability to explain engineering products or systems. Proven experience in territory management, customer mapping, and sales target achievement. Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Willingness to travel extensively across assigned regions and industrial areas.
