Desoutter Industrial Tools, Business Line Service under Industrial Technique Business Area has seen substantial growth in recent years in terms of volume and complexity. The organization is focused upon sustainable revenue growth by creating values and is committed to our customer s success.Within Service, we have expanded our product portfolio beyond Tightening Solutions offering Software Solutions, Calibration Services, Process Optimization and Trainings to our customers. To ensure timely quality services to the expanded base of products we have increased our strength of field service resources. To have seamless support to customers, there is a need to have Sales Engineer Aftermarket in Chennai who act as an interphase between Customer, Service onsite and field resources, Team Leader, Engineering and the division.

This position will report to Regional Service Manager- South

Sales Engineer Aftermarket,

To provide strategic and implementable solutions to our customers as they seek to improve their productivity, quality and uptime. You will achieve this by combination of understanding of customer needs and extensive utilization of your specialized skills along with optimizing available supports system.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Sales Engineer Aftermarket is responsible for Generating / Preserving the Service business in the Region / Territory Allocated.

  • To sell services products and thus achieve the company s target.

    To research and identify potential customers for services.

    Identify customer needs, potential product, and service concepts for existing customers.

    Analyses and adapts new strategies to react to changing business trends.

    Manages objectives and plans through field Service team.

    Developing the new accounts and improving the market coverage.

  • Mapping of competition, segments and preparation of product presentations, seminars and customized presentations.

  • Routine tasks would include daily interaction with the key accounts, internal and external customers.

  • Planning and coordinating with Product Sales Team, project and customer support.

    To maintain sales forecasting report.

  • To know the status of the pending offers and to keep a follow-up.

  • To develop and deliver presentations to enhance company and brand image.

    New Projects and New Customers

    Addition of new customers. Generation of new business.

    Mapping of Installed base for Service Business Prospects Potential

    Monthly Reporting on the Sales Activity

    Adherence to Business Code of Practice

    KPI & Success Story presenting to the key customers.

    Sales Efficiency management: Customer Visit optimization
  • Effective implementation of set processes in the Territory to achieve high level of sales efficiency.

  • Compliance with Corporate Guidelines:

  • Follow in letter and spirit the Company s Vision, Mission and core values

  • Comply with the Business Code of Practices (BCOP)

    Comply with the policies and procedures communicated from time to time

  • Perform any other tasks given by reporting manager from time to time to enrich the Corporate Culture

  • Knowledge, Experience, and skills requirements:

    Extensive industrial experience in spare parts & Service Contracts sales.

    Willing to travel extensively.

    Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

    Ability to efficiently multi-task

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may vary depending on workload and travel plans

  • Strong team player

    Strong understanding of electronic, pneumatic and mechanical test equipment

    Technical knowledge related to tightening solutions, software products and optimization solutions

    Educational requirements:

    Degree/Diploma in Engineering - EEE/ECE/MECH

  • At least 2 to 4 years experience in sales, aftermarket and service of Industrial Products

  • Language - Excellent in English & Tamil
