Job Description

We are looking for Engineer/Senior Engineer in Tooling competence. Your Mission will be design & develop various tools. You must also guide Junior designers as we'll as mentor external colleagues to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality designs. Additionally, you will contribute to Tooling Competence development activity, within the limits of GECIA processes, structure and guidelines. Job Description Understanding scope of work in the projects. Follow design practices, work instructions & checklists on the tasks handled and carry out the CAD checking. It will be your challenge to further develop & expand the scope of activities while working as a good team member. To work on finalizing the output drawings and ensure timely delivery with no compromise on quality. To take the ownership of the projects till their closure. Work Planning and Mentoring Estimation and planning of the assigned work. Interact with project leaders and customers, present & discuss the proposed designs, carry out design reviews. Share lessons learnt from the projects with the team. Participate in daily and weekly project meetings to present status report and clarify queries. Coaching and mentoring of junior employees/external employees whenever required. Participate in Competence development activities and contribute to develop it further. Hands on experience in designing hydraulic machining fixtures, test station design for performance measurement of vacuum pump and compressors. Hands on experience in designing assembly tools, lifting tools, material handling and build trollies, special purpose tools, measuring tools and automation projects. Strength calculations, knowledge of Hydraulics & Pneumatics. Selection of flow measurement valves, control valves, cylinder and power pack. In depth knowledge of various Manufacturing & Heat treatment processes with their influence on cost. Material selection capabilities, understanding of global engineering standards (eg ISO, DIN, etc...) would be an advantage. Creating manufacturing drawings with application of GD&T. Hands on experience of any 3D software for 3D modelling and 2D drawing creation. Good analytical skills. Lean manufacturing techniques for designing of tools. Experience in Robotic cell or system design would be an added advantage. Knowledge with Automation systems like Sensors, Actuators, PLC would be added advantage. Education & Experience requirement BE / B Tech in Mechanical Engineering with minimum of 8 to Maximum 12 years experience in Tool and Machine Design with exposure to Automation techniques. Personality Requirements Excellent communicator/ verbal and written skills Good Mentoring & Coaching skills. Software Skills Catia or any 3D modelling software.
