We are currently expanding our team and seeking a motivated and results driven Sales Research Assistant (SDR) to join our high performing sales team. The role is primarily to continue to drive the growth of our brand and business throughout India and South East Asia.


As a Sales Research Assistant (SDR) your role is to identify editorial opportunities for the sales team to convert into revenue. You will be speaking to Marketing, Communications, and IR contacts to build lasting relationships and scheduling interviews with C-suite executives. You should possess a good understanding of the India and South East Asia market and business culture.


What you will do:

  • Identify potential clients and engage at an early stage by reaching out via phone calls, emails, and considerate follow through as you qualify leads and book meeting for our Sales Executives
  • Break into new companies and new markets, by engaging with prospects using a value-based approach with the goal of building relationships and driving brand awareness
  • Exceed weekly, monthly, and quarterly targets through a consistent process of driving leads and scheduled meetings
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
  • Accurately provide weekly pipeline reports of your activity and customer discussions. Become an expert in Salesforce!
  • Actively promote The CEO Magazine through professional social media platforms, such as LinkedIn


We are a great match if you have:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar SDR role (B2B sales or MarComm)
  • High level of English (90%+)
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to ask intelligent questions, listen attentively, and follow up appropriately.
  • Strong attention to detail as you will help enrich and qualify prospect data as you accelerate our sales process.
  • An impressive telephone manner and confidence to pick up the phone and make many calls to generate interest in sales engagement
  • Outstanding time management and organisational skills, with the ability to maintain the accuracy of a CRM/database
  • The ability to meet and exceed key activity and productivity metrics, including call volumes and talk time
  • The ability to be proactive and show initiative
  • A confident, positive attitude, self-motivation, and a natural persistence to excel.
  • The ability to work well in a team environment and contribute to a positive team culture.
  • A strong desire to develop in sales learn from Sales Executives as we close new business
