Position Overview

Junior Safety Manager

Key Responsibilities

1. Safety Monitoring & Compliance

• Assist in the implementation of project-specific safety plans and procedures.
• Monitor day-to-day site activities to ensure compliance with SHE policies.
• Identify, report, and rectify unsafe conditions, practices, and hazards.

2. Site Inspections & Reporting

• Conduct regular safety inspections and safety walks at work sites.
• Prepare safety reports, checklists, incident records, and documentation as required.
• Support senior safety staff in safety audits and follow-up actions.

3. Incident Prevention & Investigation

• Monitor high-risk activities and ensure safety measures are followed.
• Assist in investigating incidents, near-misses, and unsafe practices.
• Participate in root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.

4. Safety Training & Awareness

• Conduct toolbox talks, safety induction programs, and refresher sessions for workers and contractors.
• Promote safety awareness through posters, briefings, and campaigns.
• Support training on PPE usage, safe handling of tools & machinery, and emergency procedures.

5. Documentation & Compliance Support

• Maintain safety records in accordance with statutory and company requirements.
• Ensure availability and proper upkeep of safety equipment, PPE, and signage.
• Assist in compliance with local and state safety regulations and ISO standards.

6. Coordination

• Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and contractors to ensure safe working practices.
• Communicate safety observations and recommendations effectively to project teams.
• Support the Senior Safety Manager in all SHE activities across the project.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical) or equivalent.
• Mandatory safety certification such as

  Diploma in Industrial Safety

  IOSH

  .
• Minimum

  5 years of experience

  in construction/infrastructure/EPC project safety roles.
• Knowledge of Indian safety regulations, standards, and site safety protocols.
• Ability to work effectively at site and manage workforce safety.
