Safety Engineer

As the Safety and Health Coordinator for the carbon plant greenfield project, your primary responsibility is to ensure the effective implementation of safety and health systems throughout the construction, commissioning, and early operational phases. Your role is pivotal in fostering a proactive safety culture, minimizing risks, and ensuring legal compliance. - Assist in the development and execution of site-specific EHS management plans. - Prepare Health & Safety budgets and monthly plans. - Ensure compliance with all relevant safety laws, rules, and regulations. - Identify and assess hazards, prepare and review Job Safety Analyses. - Organize safety inductions, toolbox talks, and refresher training sessions. - Conduct daily site monitoring, safety walks, and audits. - Track and report unsafe conditions and behaviors, drive corrective actions. - Lead or support investigations, conduct root cause analyses, oversee closure of corrective and preventive actions. - Maintain accurate documentation of permits, trainings, audits, incidents, and statutory compliance. - Manage contractor safety, ensure alignment with project's EHS requirements. - Prepare on-site emergency plans, support the development and execution of on-site emergency response plans and mock drills.
