Role Overview:

State Head – Retail will be the custodian of State-level P&L, responsible for driving sustainable revenue growth, superior customer experience, and strong brand presence across Kerala. The role acts as a strategic business leader and brand ambassador, ensuring alignment with organizational goals while delivering operational excellence at scale.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and drive State-level P&L, ensuring revenue growth, cost optimization, and profitability across all retail operations.
  • Lead expansion and rollout of new retail branches across the state, including market assessment, location finalization, brand visibility, and end-to-end launch of sales and service operations.
  • Develop and execute monthly, quarterly, and annual business forecasts, translating strategic plans into actionable execution within defined timelines.
  • Ensure loss prevention and risk mitigation through robust audit mechanisms, compliance, safety, and security controls.
  • Provide overall leadership for state-wide retail operations, including local marketing strategy, brand-building initiatives, activation programs, store administration, and HC management.
  • Drive business growth through innovative promotional campaigns, customer engagement initiatives, and enhanced customer experience frameworks.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire regional and cluster teams to consistently achieve sales targets, productivity benchmarks, and operational KPIs.
  • Conceptualize, implement, and monitor customer retention and loyalty programs to enhance repeat business and lifetime value.
  • Plan and execute brand launches, brand awareness, and brand preference initiatives, supported by continuous market intelligence and competitive analysis.
  • Ensure accurate and timely MIS reporting, daily operational reviews, and adherence to SOPs, with regular updates to Head Office and Sales Leadership.
  • Oversee training, coaching, and performance management of sales and operations teams to ensure both individual and collective targets are met efficiently.
  • Maintain overall accountability for data accuracy, reporting governance, and compliance with organizational policies.
  • Foster a high-performance culture that encourages ownership, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the state.

Education and Experience

  • Any Graduate / MBA / PGDBA (Marketing preferred)
  • 10–15 years of experience in Retail Sales, with proven exposure to state or multi-region operations
  • Strong experience in COCO (Company-Owned, Company-Operated) retail formats
  • Demonstrated success in new store planning, rollout, and scale-up
