Role Summary

The Retail Merchandiser will manage product allocation, replenishment, and inventory performance across BIBA stores. This role requires strong analytical capability, commercial acumen, and the ability to collaborate closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure the right product is available in the right place at the right time.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales, Inventory & Store Performance

· Track weekly sales, sell-through, WOS, and inventory productivity across stores.

· Ensure optimum stock availability through timely allocations and replenishment.

· Identify top-selling SKUs and drive repeat orders through vendor coordination.

2. Supplier & Vendor Management

· Leverage strong supplier/vendor relationships to support fast replenishment cycles.

· Liaise with suppliers for stock availability, dispatches, and lead time compliance.

· Coordinate repeat orders / fast movers with vendors to reduce lost sales.

· Work with sourcing & supply chain teams to track deliveries and resolve delays.

3. Allocation & Replenishment

· Allocate products based on store potential, regional performance, and size profiles.

· Manage seasonal and in-season replenishment for new and existing stores.

· Drive stock balancing and inter-store transfers based on trend shifts and performance.

4. Business Insights & Reporting

· Prepare weekly and monthly merchandising dashboards and business performance reports.

· Analyze store-wise/category-wise/product-wise trends to drive actionable decisions.

· Support buying & planning teams with analytical inputs for future assortment planning.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

· Work with retail operations, warehouse, planning, sourcing, and design teams.

· Support product launches, markdowns, promotions, and pricing decisions.

· Communicate product feedback and consumer insights to buying/design teams.

Required Skills & Competencies

· Strong analytical and numerical ability (Excel proficiency required)

· Good knowledge of fashion retail and consumer trends

· Strong supplier/vendor network and negotiation skills

· Detail-oriented, data-driven and commercially aware

· Effective communication and collaboration skills

· Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Qualifications & Experience

· Graduate/Postgraduate in Fashion Management, Merchandising, Business or relevant field

· 12-14 years of experience in retail merchandising, planning, allocation or buying

· Experience in apparel/fashion retail preferred

· Exposure to ERP/MIS systems is a plus
