Saltstayz is looking for a dynamic, unflappable, and commercially savvy Restaurant Manager to lead our team. If you can keep the peace between a stressed-out chef and an over-seated dining room while calculating food costs in your head, we want you. Key Responsibilities: The Daily Hustle
- Operational Excellence: Oversee all Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) operations to ensure a smooth, high-quality, and profitable dining experience, maintaining Saltstayz's commitment to luxury service standards.
- Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, train, schedule, supervise, and motivate a high-performing staff. Conduct performance reviews and — crucial for morale — manage all payroll and HR administration with grace (and accuracy).
- Customer Experience Champion: Be the ultimate host. Manage table reservations, greet guests, resolve customer complaints quickly and professionally, and ensure exceptional service standards are met consistently, turning first-time diners into Saltstayz regulars.
- Financial Management: Control operational costs, including labor and Cost of Goods Sold (CoGS). Manage budgets, track sales, and prepare financial reports. We're looking for an artist, but one who can crunch numbers.
- Inventory & Vendor Relations: Oversee all ordering, stock levels, and inventory management to minimize waste and ensure product availability. Negotiate with suppliers like a pro to secure the best products for Saltstayz.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations, including food safety and licensing laws. Keep us out of trouble!
- Menu & Quality Control: Work with the Head Chef to plan profitable menus, manage pricing, and maintain the highest quality of food and beverage service, reflecting the Saltstayz brand.
Qualifications & Skills: What You Bring to the Table
- Proven Experience: Minimum of [7-11] years of proven experience as a Restaurant Manager, Assistant Manager, or a similar leadership role in a high-volume or hotel-based hospitality setting.
- Leadership & Communication: Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. The ability to lead by example and inspire a diverse team.
- Business Acumen: Strong financial management skills and a clear understanding of profitability, budgeting, and cost control.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to remain calm, cool, and collected under pressure, making quick, effective decisions to solve inevitable daily issues.
- Tech Savvy: Familiarity with POS systems, restaurant management software, and basic bookkeeping/office software.
- Availability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays—because, well, exceptional service doesn't keep a 9-to-5 schedule.
