Job Overview

The Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant to ensure an exceptional guest experience. This role includes managing staff, maintaining service standards, controlling costs, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with excellent communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

  • Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure efficiency and high service quality.
  • Monitor dining and kitchen areas to ensure cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Manage inventory levels, food costs, and supply orders to avoid shortages or excess.
  • Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Customer Service

  • Ensure an outstanding guest experience by resolving customer concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Monitor service quality and create strategies to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Manage guest feedback tools and respond to reviews when required.

Team Management

  • Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise restaurant staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching to improve service and teamwork.
  • Foster a positive, motivational work environment that encourages collaboration and excellence.

Financial Management

  • Manage budgets, cost controls, and daily financial reporting.
  • Analyze sales performance and implement strategies to increase revenue.
  • Oversee cash handling, billing, and reconciliation processes.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure all operations comply with local health, safety, and licensing requirements.
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintain necessary documentation.
  • Train staff on safety protocols and emergency procedures.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience (3+ years) as a Restaurant Manager or similar role.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Knowledge of restaurant management.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
