Role Summary:

This position is primarily responsible for developing new technologies to fulfill our customers' needs, as well as internal technology improvement and strategy.

Responsibilities:

• Design, testing and documentation of new products and processes.
• Scout for new ideas / technologies and stay updated with current advancements.
• Redesigning existing products to enhance functionality or to reduce cost.
• Inter-department co-ordination to identify areas of improvement, troubleshoot problems and satisfy customer-specific demands.
• Prepare technical reports highlighting scope, objectives, methods and results for new, ongoing and completed R&D projects.
• Prepare drafts for journal and patent submission, and follow the progress upto acceptance.
• Conducting market research and evaluating similar products and their functions.
• Apply systematic and analytic method of problem solving to make evidence based technical decisions that are safe, functional, cost effective and validated.
• Carry out DSIR related activities such as renewal and tax claims.
• Create brochures and case studies of new products and technologies for marketing purposes such as exhibits, seminars and customer discussions.
• Maintenance of R&D laboratory equipments, reports, inventories and log sheets.
• Maintain the 3C and 5S activities and do Kaizen inside the R&D lab.
• Regular updation of Department Manual.
• Conduct vendor search, collect / compare quotations, do technical analysis and perform vendor evaluation visits for any R&D related procurement of components and equipments.
• Regular factory visits to identify areas of improvements such as wastage reduction, power savings, maintenance cost reduction, better process efficiency and manufacturing time reduction.

Qualification Requirements:

Experience : 0 – 8 Years

Education : B.E. / M.E. in Engineering (Mech Engg preferred)

Languages : Good command of English (spoken & written)

Hindi (optional)

Industry Experience: Manufacturing / Production / R&D / NPD

Age Category : 21 to 30 Yrs

Gender : Male

Skills Required:

• Analytical and creative thinking, flexibility and communicability
• Sound problem solving ability with mathematical analysis
• Should be a team player and have the ability to work well unsupervised, manage their time effectively and be self motivated
• Ability to work on multiple projects
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English is a must
• Knowledge in fluid dynamics, materials testing and heat transfer
• Flexibility in timings and willingness to work after office hours as per project requirement
• Ability to organize and document the work accurately
• Good computer skills with coding experience in Matlab, C/C++, Fortran or any language
• Knowledge on 3D CAD, Pro/E, CATIA is a plus
• Experience in ERP is preferable
• Good understanding of Health and Safety regulations
