Research Analyst

About the Role

We are seeking a high-calibre Research Analyst to join Edme Insurance Brokers. This role is focused on delivering market intelligence and strategic research to support Edme’s sales and business development teams across active and prospective client opportunities.

You will work on live sales pursuits, developing insights on clients, industries, competitors, and market trends, and translating research into structured, client-ready outputs that enhance pitch quality and sales effectiveness.

What You Will Do

• Support pre-sales and business development teams with actionable research insights on client accounts and prospects.
• Conduct comprehensive secondary research across industries, markets, competitors, and regulatory environments.
• Assist in market sizing, opportunity assessment, and GTM analysis to support sales strategy.
• Perform competitive intelligence and peer benchmarking aligned to client pitches.
• Synthesize research into clear, structured outputs including presentations, briefs, and insight notes.
• Work closely with senior researchers and sales stakeholders to ensure relevance and impact.

What You Need to Have

• 1–2 years of experience in market research, pre-sales research, consulting, or strategy support roles.
• Strong understanding of secondary research methodologies; exposure to primary research is a plus.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to structure research findings into sales-relevant insights and narratives.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; strong charting and report-writing skills.
• Clear and concise communication skills (verbal and written).
• Exposure to insurance and financial services is plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Expertise with SPSS, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Previous quantitative and qualitative research experience
