Job Summary

Regional Sales Manager (RSM)

Key Responsibilities

1.

Sales Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve sales targets.
  • Identify market opportunities, segment potential, and plan go-to-market strategies.
  • Analyze sales trends and competitor activities to recommend tactical initiatives.
2.

Team Management

  • Recruit, train, mentor, and manage a team of ASMs and TSOs.
  • Monitor team performance, provide regular feedback, and drive productivity.
  • Conduct periodic reviews, goal setting, and incentive tracking.
3.

Channel & Distribution Management

  • Appoint and manage

    Super Stockists, Distributors, and Sub-stockists

    .
  • Strengthen the presence in

    retail chains, pharmacies, supermarkets, and hospitals

    .
  • Ensure adequate inventory and coverage across urban and rural markets.
4.

Business Development

  • Expand footprint in unserved and underserved areas.
  • Drive new product launches and ensure market penetration.
  • Build strong relationships with key accounts and institutional buyers.
5.

Operations & Reporting

  • Ensure timely billing, collection, and adherence to credit policies.
  • Monitor and report KPIs: sales, coverage, outlet productivity, and secondary sales.
  • Coordinate with supply chain and logistics for product availability and fulfillment.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (MBA in Marketing/Sales preferred).
  • 6–10 years of regional sales experience, preferably in

    FMCG, Sanitary Products, Pharma, or Personal Care

    industries.
  • Strong knowledge of

    Tamil Nadu and Kerala

    markets, consumer behavior, and language fluency (Tamil and Malayalam preferred).
  • Proven experience in team handling and multi-channel distribution management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the region.

Preferred Attributes

  • Prior experience with

    sanitary napkin or hygiene product companies

    is a plus.
  • Track record of growing regional sales and launching new products.
