Job Description – Regional Sales Manager (RSM)

 Role Overview

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will be responsible for driving sales, developing new business opportunities, managing existing client relationships, and leading a regional sales team to achieve revenue targets in the metal & steel segment.


Key Responsibilities

* Develop and implement regional sales strategies aligned with company objectives.

* Identify and generate new business opportunities in domestic and international markets.

* Build and maintain strong relationships with EPC companies, contractors, distributors, and end-users.

* Monitor competitor activities and market trends to formulate effective sales plans.

* Lead, mentor, and motivate the regional sales team to achieve sales targets.

* Prepare and present periodic sales reports, forecasts, and business plans to management.

* Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with key customers.

* Ensure timely collection of payments and adherence to company credit policies.

* Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry networking events.


 Key Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of metal & steel products (pipes, tubes, fittings, flanges, sheets, etc.)

Proven experience in B2B industrial sales (preferably Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power, or Infrastructure sectors).

Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Ability to build long-term client relationships.

Strong leadership and team management capabilities.

Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.


 Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Metallurgical Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.

7–12 years of proven sales experience in the metal & steel industry (minimum 3–5 years in a managerial role).

Strong network with EPCs, consultants, and industrial buyers.

Willingness to travel extensively across the assigned region.
