Job Description

As a Regional Sales Manager (RSM) for the assigned regions of Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, and Jharkhand, your role involves leading and managing the sales operations through the distributor network. Your responsibilities include: - Driving the achievement of regional sales targets (primary & secondary) and ensuring growth across categories. - Recruiting, training, and managing a team of Sales Officers, Area Sales Executives (ASEs), Area Sales Managers (ASMs), and Distributor Sales Executives. - Strengthening and expanding the distributor network through appointment, onboarding, ROI monitoring, and performance management. - Developing and implementing regional sales strategies, trade promotions, and channel development plans. - Reviewing sales performance, market share, and distribution gaps to implement corrective action plans. - Ensuring effective execution of marketing initiatives, new product launches, and visibility campaigns in the region. - Managing distributor claims, credit limits, collections, and ensuring financial discipline in the market. - Analyzing competitor activities, pricing, and market trends to design counter strategies. - Building strong relationships with key distributors, retailers, and GT and MT partners. - Coordinating with cross-functional teams (supply chain, accounts, marketing, HR) to ensure smooth operations. - Ensuring timely reporting of regional performance, sales forecasts, and market intelligence to the HOD. Key Skills & Competencies required for this role are: - Strong leadership and team management skills. - In-depth understanding of FMCG distributor/channel sales (primary & secondary). - Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills. - Strategic thinking with strong problem-solving and decision-making ability. - Proficiency in sales reporting, MIS, and data analysis. Qualifications & Experience: - Graduate with 8-12 years of sales experience in FMCG/Food & Beverages/Consumer Goods. - Minimum 3-5 years in a Regional Sales Manager or equivalent leadership role. - Proven track record in managing large distributor networks and achieving regional sales goals.,
