Manager – Engineering Recruitment Job Description - Position Purpose – The Manager – Engineering Recruitment is responsible for supervising and guiding a team of recruiters dedicated to hiring for the engineering and manufacturing sectors. This includes complete ownership of the recruitment lifecycle—from understanding client requirements in technical domains to ensuring seamless candidate onboarding and performance during the guarantee period. This role requires deep domain knowledge, strong delivery management skills, and the ability to mentor a team while maintaining high levels of client satisfaction. Ultimately, the manager will manage our recruitment processto ensure we shortlist and provide qualified candidates to meet our clients’ current and future needs. The approachwill be data-driven and all the strategies and measures will be taken based on insights from data collected and analysed. Supervisory and Guidance responsibilities - This positionmay guide and supervise from 01 to a maximum of 10 recruiters. General Responsibilities – Improve the revenue performance of the Engineering Recruitment team by driving closures and exceeding targets. Recommend and implement ways to improve the team’s efficiency and work environment . Mentor and upskill team members to grow professionally and personally, with a focus on engineering domain expertise. Be the first point of contact for escalations, client issues, or technical challenges faced by team members. Set expectations on day one for new joiners regarding performance metrics and behavioural norms. Regularly implement new and innovative sourcing methods suited to technical hiring. Coordinate with internal hiring team for backfills and resource planning . Handle client anchoring and ensure effective end-to-end recruitment delivery. Key Responsibilities – Guide and mentor recruiters on daily sourcing strategies tailored to engineering mandates. Ensure the team uses the most effective sourcing methods for niche and hard-to-fill roles. Review and quality-check profiles before submission to ensure alignment with client expectations. Conduct weekly/monthly/quarterly performance reviews based on key recruitment metrics: 1. Calls made 2. Profile submissions (from ATS) 3. Revenue (Offer and Joining data from finance) Take complete ownership of the team’s revenue portfolio , and drive each recruiter to meet or exceed revenue targets based on their level. Requirements 4–8 years of experience in recruitment, with at least 1–2 years leading a team in engineering or technical hiring. Educational background in BE/BTech (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, etc.). Proven ability to manage mid-to-senior level hiring across manufacturing, EPC, construction, automotive, and related sectors. Strong understanding of technical hiring complexities , including sourcing, client handling, and candidate engagement. Familiarity with ATS/HRMS systems and MS Excel for tracking performance and data analysis. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a solution-driven mindset .
