Real Estate Analyst

ARCA Alternatives, an alternative real estate asset manager , is looking to add a real estate analyst/associate to our Fund Team in Mumbai.

Key Responsibilities:

• Quantitative Research: Tracking trends in performance across various categories of Real Estate Firms and their projects.
• Analysis of Investment Proposals from various Real Estate Firms/upcoming Projects – analysis of information statements, building detailed cashflow models, sensitivity scenarios and stress tests
• Qualitative Research: Qualitative assessment and due diligence of investment opportunities, process review of the investee companies/projects
• Active member of team involved in negotiations, due-diligence, documentation and post closing activities
• Report writing on the performance of various projects/schemes of the AIF.
• Working with Chief Investment Officer/Investment Manager and creating clean proposals for deliberation with the Investment/Credit Committee
• Analysis and research for new funds/schemes, preparing pitch decks
• Writing analytical articles related to the investment products/ themes,
• Detailed analysis on financial instruments like AlFs, REITS, INVITS etc.
• Assist in investor relations and regulatory filings

What we’re looking for :

• 2+ years experience in core real estate investments/acquisitions as part of teams in real estate PE funds/AIFs, banks/NBFCs, property consultants, real estate developers
• Familiarity with various the business models of residential and office assets. Additional exposure to other alternate RE assets viz. retail shopping, hospitality, education, healthcare, serviced residential is a plus
• Candidate should preferably be a MBA (Finance) from a reputed institution and/or a Chartered Accountant
• Excellent research and data analytical skills to evaluate the right investment opportunities.
• Oral and written communication skills to contribute in meetings, give presentations and write reports
• Ability to analyse balance sheets, cashflow statements and P&L sheets
• Ability to use accounting, spreadsheet and investing software programs
• Integrity, desire to learn and add value, penchant for hard work and a do-what-it-takes mindset are non-negotiable
