R&D Officer

As the ideal candidate for this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the research, formulation, and design of new quartz slab shades, patterns, and textures. Your primary focus will be on innovating new product lines that align with market demand and emerging trends. You will play a key role in evaluating and introducing new raw materials, resins, and pigments to enhance quality and aesthetics. Collaboration with CAD/CNC designers will be essential as you work together to create unique slab designs. Ensuring that all new products comply with international quality standards and regulations will also fall under your purview. In close partnership with quality assurance teams, you will conduct tests to assess product durability, strength, and chemical resistance. Your role will involve overseeing trials and pilot production activities to validate product performance. Efficiency will be a key consideration as you develop formulations and production processes aimed at reducing costs while maintaining high quality standards. Working alongside analysts, you will calculate material costs, optimize recipes, and seek ways to improve profitability. Identifying process improvements to enhance yield, reduce wastage, and boost efficiency will be part of your responsibilities. You will lead New Product Development (NPD) projects from the research and development phase to full-scale production, ensuring timely launches. Detailed project roadmaps, timelines, and budgets will be developed under your guidance. Collaboration with production teams will be crucial to ensure the smooth integration of new products into the manufacturing process. You will oversee a multidisciplinary team that includes lab technicians, CAD/CNC designers, market researchers, quality testers, compliance officers, analysts, data operators, and costing specialists. Providing technical support to sales and marketing teams for product presentations will also be part of your role. Additionally, you will assist in creating marketing materials and specifications for new products. Leading, mentoring, and motivating the R&D team to foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning will be essential. Setting performance goals, conducting evaluations, and facilitating skill development through training programs will also be part of your responsibilities.
