Role Overview:

The Audio-Visual Design Head leads the engineering division responsible for the design, integration, and optimization of AV systems across various platforms, including live events, corporate environments, broadcast, and entertainment industries. This leadership role combines technical proficiency with strategic vision to deliver innovative and high-quality AV solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the AV engineering strategy aligned with organizational goals, ensuring innovation and excellence in all AV projects.
• Team Management: Lead, mentor, and expand a multidisciplinary team of AV engineers, designers, and technicians, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• System Design & Integration: Oversee the design and integration of complex AV systems, including audio, video, control systems, and network infrastructure, ensuring seamless functionality and user experience.
• Project Oversight: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of AV projects, from conceptualization and design to installation, commissioning, and post-implementation support.
• Client Collaboration: Engage with clients to understand their AV requirements, providing tailored solutions and ensuring satisfaction throughout the project.
• Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce standards for system performance, reliability, and compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
• Budget & Resource Management: Oversee project budgets, resource allocation, and procurement processes, ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery of AV solutions.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of emerging AV technologies and industry trends, driving innovation and continuous improvement within the team and projects

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Audio Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years in AV system design and engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in AV design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit), AV control systems (e.g., Crestron, Extron), and audio DSP platforms (e.g., Q-SYS, Biamp). Certifications: AVIXA CTS-D or CTS-I certification preferred.
• Project Management: Experience with project management methodologies and tools, ensuring efficient project execution and delivery.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to diverse audiences.

Desirable Skills:

• Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of acoustics, video production, and broadcast technologies.
• Software Proficiency: Familiarity with AV integration platforms and programming languages .
• Leadership Qualities: Strong decision-making abilities, conflict resolution skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
