R&D Head

You are an experienced R&D manager responsible for leading technical teams to develop innovative space and defence products, ensuring compliance with requirements, and driving business growth through enhanced customer satisfaction, productivity, and product quality. Your main responsibilities include leading and managing the R&D department, implementing effective technical strategies, and shaping the future of aerospace by developing and executing a bold R&D strategy aligned with the company's vision. As the Head of R&D, you will drive cutting-edge research and development initiatives in the aerospace and defence industry, driving technological breakthroughs that influence the future of aviation, defence, and aerospace systems. Your role involves providing technical direction for product development, technical support, and certification processes, as well as overseeing product management initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction, productivity, quality, and cost-efficiency. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities and foster a culture of innovation through experimentation and calculated risk-taking is crucial. You will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless integration of R&D outputs into final products. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Bachelor's/Master's degree in ECE Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with a Ph.D. being a plus. You must have a minimum of 12 years of experience in the aerospace defence industry, including at least 7 years in leadership roles driving R&D, product development, or engineering management. Your expertise should include RF/Microwave product development in Aerospace and defence Industries, as well as experience with certification processes, design data management, and product lifecycle management principles. Critical certifications for this position include AS9100 certification for Quality Management Systems in the Aerospace Industry, ISO 9001 certification for Quality Management Systems in aerospace organizations, and Six Sigma or Lean Certification (Green Belt/Black Belt) for process improvement and efficiency in R&D projects. Your leadership, communication, problem-solving skills, and international experience or exposure to global markets will be essential for success in this role.,
