What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining CAD automation scripts in Python, Tcl, or Perl to optimize engineering workflows.
  • Supporting and troubleshooting physical verification flows including LVS, DRC, FILL, and DFM, ensuring compliance with layout design rules.
  • Collaborating with global layout design teams to debug flow, tool, runset, and layout issues, providing technical expertise and innovative solutions.
  • Enhancing EDA tool functionality and reliability through rigorous testing, verification, and documentation.
  • Automating complex processes to improve engineering efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
  • Developing and supporting custom runsets and tool configurations tailored for advanced semiconductor technologies.
  • Participating in cross-functional meetings to gather requirements, share knowledge, and drive best practices.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering with 3-4 years of related experience, or a master's in VLSI Design/Electronics Engineering with 2-3 years of experience.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Tcl, Perl, or Bash).
  • Strong familiarity with physical verification flows (LVS, DRC, FILL, DFM) and layout design rules.
  • Experience in UNIX/Linux environments, including scripting and workflow automation.
  • Hands-on experience with EDA tools such as ICV, Starrc, Custom Compiler, or similar.
  • Prior experience in analog design, tool/runset development, or circuit theory is a plus.
  • Ability to produce clear and comprehensive technical documentation.
