Job Title: Estimation Engineer Location: Pune, Noida (Willing to travel Pan India, if required) Experience: 3 & 6 years of relevant experience in estimation and costing, preferably in re safety systems, CCTV, electrical, or MEP industries Job Summary: The Estimation Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for re alarm systems, re ghting, CCTV, and MEP projects. This role involves analyzing project drawings, BOQs, technical specications, and vendor quotations to develop comprehensive bids for tenders and direct client inquiries. The Estimation Engineer works closely with the design, procurement, and project teams to ensure reliable cost forecasting and value engineering. Education: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics Engineering or a related field. Key Responsibilities: 1. Estimation and Costing: • Study technical drawings, BOQs, and specifications to understand project scope and requirements • Prepare detailed cost estimates for fire fighting, fire alarm, CCTV, and MEP systems • Break down material, labor, and service costs and compile complete costing sheets • Ensure pricing is competitive and aligned with project budget expectations 2. Vendor and Material Coordination: • Interact with suppliers and vendors to obtain accurate pricing for materials and equipment • Evaluate vendor quotations for compliance with project specifications • Maintain updated pricing databases and vendor contact lists 3. Tender and Proposal Preparation: • Prepare and submit technical and commercial proposals for tenders and RFQs • Collaborate with business development and project teams to compile complete bid packages • Review tender requirements and prepare compliance documents as required • Ensure timely submission of tenders in line with deadlines 4. Technical Evaluation and Support: • Analyze client requirements and suggest optimized or value-engineered solutions • Coordinate with internal teams (design, procurement, execution) for accurate inputs • Provide technical clarifications during pre- and post-tender stages as needed 5. Documentation and Reporting: • Maintain estimation records for all projects including cost breakdowns, assumptions, and supplier rates • Prepare project cost comparisons and revise estimates based on updated information • Generate periodic estimation reports and bid-win analysis Skills and Competencies: • Strong understanding of fire fighting, fire alarm, CCTV, and MEP systems • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and BOQs • Proficient in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and estimation tools/software • Strong analytical, numerical, and commercial acumen • Excellent coordination and communication skills • Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines • Knowledge of applicable IS/NBC/NFPA standards is a plus
