RESPONSIBILITIES FOR BDM 1. Regional Market Mapping Conduct market research to identify potential dealers, retailers, and influencers (solar installers) in the assigned territory. Analyze demand pockets (urban and rural) for solar panels, inverters, batteries, etc. Visit electrical shops, renewable product dealers, and construction hotspots, to assess dealer potential. To visit Industrial and commercial establishments above 100 KW 2. Dealer Identification & Onboarding Shortlist eligible dealers based on criteria like shop size, product range, geographic reach, and reputation. Explain the dealership model, margin structures, support services, and performance expectations. Complete KYC, agreement formalities, and system setup for new dealers. 3. Product & Sales Training Train dealers and their staff on solar products Conduct regular refreshers on new products, technical upgrades, and marketing campaigns. Help dealers set up basic demo kits, posters, and product brochures. 4. Dealer Sales Targeting & Monitoring Set monthly and quarterly sales targets per dealer. Monitor dealer performance in terms of lead generation, conversions, and payment cycles. Motivate underperforming dealers and replace inactive ones where necessary. 5. Logistics & Stock Coordination Coordinate with warehouse and dispatch teams to ensure timely supply of material to dealers. Track inventory requirements at the dealer end and plan reorders. Ensure return/replacement policies are clearly communicated and followed. 6. Relationship Building Maintain strong relationships with top-performing dealers and identify local brand advocates. Facilitate resolution of dealer grievances quickly (pricing, warranty claims, delivery issues). Help dealers build trust with their residential or small commercial customers. 8. Reporting & ZOHO CRM Maintain dealer contact records, lead pipelines, and sales performance in CRM tools. Submit weekly reports to zonal or regional head on dealer progress and market feedback. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, or relevant field. 24 years of channel development experience, preferably in solar, electrical, or hardware sector. RESPONSIBILITIES FOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER 1. Design & Engineering Design solar power systems including rooftop, ground-mounted, and hybrid solutions (on-grid/off-grid). Perform electrical load calculations, component sizing (solar panels, inverters, batteries, cabling). Prepare single-line diagrams (SLD), wiring layouts, and system schematics using AutoCAD or similar tools. Ensure all designs comply with national and international standards (IEC, BIS, MNRE guidelines). 2. Technical Evaluation & Site Assessment Conduct site surveys to evaluate feasibility and determine optimal system design. Analyze solar irradiance data, shading analysis, and roof structural suitability. Prepare technical site assessment reports for clients and internal planning teams. 3. Installation Supervision & Execution Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of solar systems. Ensure electrical wiring, earthing, and surge protection are as per standard practices. Supervise electrical crews, contractors, and technicians on-site. Resolve technical issues during project execution in coordination with the project manager. 4. Documentation & Reporting Prepare BOQs, technical datasheets, cable schedules, and load flow analysis. Maintain installation checklists, test reports, commissioning certificates, and project documentation. Submit reports on project progress, material consumption, and technical deviations. 5. Compliance & Safety Ensure electrical works adhere to local electricity board norms and safety codes. Coordinate with DISCOMs for net metering, grid synchronization, and load approvals. Implement on-site safety protocols and conduct toolbox talks for electrical safety. 6. Operation & Maintenance Support Diagnose and troubleshoot system faults (inverter errors, cable faults, reduced output). Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on solar systems. Use monitoring software/SCADA systems to track performance and respond to alerts. 7. Vendor & Quality Coordination Evaluate technical specifications of electrical components (cables, breakers, inverters, connectors). Coordinate with vendors for delivery, technical clarifications, and replacements. Ensure components received are as per specification and quality tested before use. 8. Customer Interaction & Handover Explain technical system functionality to customers during handover. Provide after-sales technical support as required. Conduct training for client-side electrical maintenance teams (if applicable). Qualifications Diplomo /B.E./B.Tech in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering. 2+ years of experience in solar projects (rooftop, ground-mounted, hybrid or off-grid).
