Quality Control Executive

Job Summary: Execute day-to-day quality control lab and inspection functions: sampling, testing, analysis of raw materials, in-process and finished products; ensure results are timely and accurate and feed into production for quality improvement at the plant. Key Responsibilities / Duties: Conduct sampling and testing of raw materials, in‐process batches and finished goods per defined protocols and schedules. Maintain and calibrate QC lab equipment; ensure lab cleanliness, documentation and adherence to testing standards. Report test results, highlight deviations, coordinate with production and QA for corrective action. Maintain test methods, update records, and assist in validation of new test protocols. Assist in supplier material testing, issue certificates of analysis, and support incoming material quality. Participate in root‐cause analysis for quality failures, assist production in resolving process issues Monitor lab performance metrics (turnaround time, test accuracy, failures) and work to improve efficiency. Required Skills & Competencies: Strong laboratory skills, familiarity with analytical instruments/testing relevant to manufacturing/chemicals. Attention to detail, documentation skills, ability to interpret test results and communicate findings. Coordination skills across production, procurement, QC and QA functions. Basic understanding of quality standards, chemical safety, lab procedures. Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s in Chemistry or BTech in Chemical Engineering or Materials Science or related field. Laboratory certification or hands-on experience preferred. Work Experience: Minimum 1-3 years experience in QC lab in manufacturing environment; experience in chemicals/construction materials desirable. Experience with analytical testing, record keeping and reporting. KPIs / Performance Indicators: Laboratory turnaround time (TAT) for test results % of test results meeting specification Number of lab non-compliances / calibration issues Reduction in repeat tests/rejections due to lab errors Accuracy and timeliness of QC reporting
