Quality Control Engineer

Job Summary:

The Quality Control Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all products and processes meet the company’s quality standards and customer specifications. This role involves conducting inspections, analyzing data, identifying defects or nonconformities, and implementing corrective actions to maintain consistent quality throughout the production cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect incoming raw materials, in-process components, and finished products as per drawings and specifications.
• Conduct dimensional and visual inspections using gauges, micrometers, calipers, and CMM (if applicable).
• Prepare and maintain inspection reports, test records, and quality documentation.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards such as ISO 9001 and customer-specific requirements.
• Identify, record, and report non-conformities; assist in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
• Work closely with the production and maintenance teams to address quality issues on the shop floor.
• Support process audits, internal audits, and supplier quality evaluations.
• Monitor calibration of measuring instruments and maintain traceability records.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities and implement quality control techniques such as 5S, Kaizen, and SPC.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams regarding quality-related matters.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or Metallurgical Engineering.
• 1–5 years of experience in Quality Control / Quality Assurance (preferably in a manufacturing or foundry setup).
• Strong knowledge of engineering drawings, GD&T, and material standards.
• Hands-on experience with inspection tools and measuring instruments.
• Familiarity with ISO documentation and quality management systems.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, ERP/JobBoss, or similar software preferred.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
