Job Description

The PitchBook Private Markets team performs web-based research and utilizes technology tools to capture hard-to-find data on private capital markets, including private equity (PE), venture capital (VC) and mergers and acquisitions (M&A). This information allows PitchBook’s customers such as venture capital firms, private equity firms, limited partners, investment banks, law firms, and accounting firms to discover emerging companies, conduct research on potential investment opportunities, and gain a competitive edge in investment decision-making and negotiations.
The QA specialist is responsible for ensuring that all production processes are controlled and monitored for quality and compliance. The position will be responsible for performing quality audits and assurance reviews of the processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct data quality checks and develop action plans to ensure data reliability, completeness, and consistency.

  • Keeping abreast of the latest methodology updates and trends in data quality analysis.

  • Provide floor support and respond to researcher’s queries in a timely manner.

  • Conduct error spread analysis for ramping researchers.

  • Recommend, implement, and monitor preventative and corrective actions to ensure that quality assurance standards are achieved.

  • Work closely with stakeholders in Mumbai and Kolkata on weekly/monthly basis.

Requirements:

  • Understanding PitchBook’s research methodologies.

  • Strong domain knowledge and thorough knowledge of private markets ecosystem.

  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Meticulous attention to detail.

  • Strong analytical and innovative thinking.

  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment as well.

  • Dedication to continuous process improvement 

  • Willing and flexible to work on UK shift and Indian holidays.


Qualifications:

  • Master’s/Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting, Commerce, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Liberal Arts, Management or Science

  • 2+ years of professional work experience; prior QA or similar experience in private markets would be a plus.

  • Flexibility with multiple processes and always endeavor to complete all workflows with high quality.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and in written materials for effective inter-office correspondence

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, especially Excel, and other project management tools such as Asana
