Quality Assurance Lead

Role Overview

We’re seeking an experienced QA Lead with 5–8 years of software testing experience

and an engineering background. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in leadership,

understands both manual and automation testing fundamentals, and is passionate about

building scalable QA practices that ensure quality across products.

Key Responsibilities

● Lead and mentor a QA team of 5–10 members, providing guidance and support.

● Plan, design, and execute test strategies, test plans, and detailed test cases.

● Perform and oversee functional, regression, integration, and performance

testing.

● Ensure timely delivery of high-quality releases by meeting project milestones.

● Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Development, Product, Operations) to

resolve issues efficiently.

● Continuously improve QA processes, tools, and best practices.

● Track and report QA metrics, test coverage, and quality indicators to stakeholders.

● Be hands-on with Manual Testing and support Automation Testing where

applicable.

● Attend and contribute to daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and

other scrum activities.

Requirements

● 5–8 years of experience in Manual Testing, with exposure to Automation.

● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

● Proven experience in leading QA teams (5–10 members).

● Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and defect management.

● Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA).

● Experience in agile and milestone-based project delivery with clear accountability.

● Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

● Leadership abilities and a proactive, ownership-driven mindset.

● Exposure to Automation testing is a plus. Knowledge in python, robot framework,

cypress, k6 would be a value add.

● A self-driven person who is flexible, proactive, and consistently willing to exceed

expectations.

● ISTQB or similar certification is a plus.
