Job Description

1. Food Safety & Compliance Ensure all food products comply with FSSAI, ISO 22000, HACCP, BRC, FDA, and other relevant food safety regulations. Monitor and maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs). Conduct risk assessments and implement preventive controls to minimize contamination and hazards. Ensure proper labelling, allergen control, and traceability of raw materials and finished goods. 2. Raw Material & Supplier Quality Approve and audit suppliers to ensure consistent quality of raw materials, ingredients, and packaging. Inspect incoming raw materials for safety, quality, and compliance with specifications. Maintain records of supplier certifications, COAs (Certificates of Analysis), and product specifications. 3. Production Quality Control Monitor critical control points (CCPs) during production (temperature, pH, moisture, microbial levels). Conduct in-process checks to verify weight, texture, colour, taste, and packaging integrity. Implement and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure uniform production quality. Oversee equipment calibration and sanitation validation. 4. Laboratory & Microbiological Testing Perform or supervise microbiological, chemical, and physical testing of raw materials and finished goods. Ensure testing for pathogens, shelf-life validation, and nutritional label accuracy. Investigate and document non-conformities, out-of-spec results, and customer complaints. 5. Documentation & Record Keeping Maintain batch production records, QA logs, and test reports for audits and traceability. Prepare quality reports, deviation reports, corrective & preventive action (CAPA) plans. Support internal and external audits by regulatory bodies and certification agencies. 6. Continuous Improvement Analyze quality trends and customer feedback to improve product consistency. Train staff on food safety, hygiene, and quality standards. Drive root cause analysis for defects or recalls and implement process improvements. Lead product shelf-life studies and new product quality validations.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹46,696.42 per month
