Quality Assurance

Job Purpose: To ensure that all flexible packaging materials and finished products meet internal quality standards and customer specifications through rigorous inspection, testing, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities: 1. Quality Control (QC): Inspect incoming raw materials (films, inks, adhesives) for compliance with specifications. Monitor in-process production activities to ensure adherence to quality parameters. Conduct final product inspection and testing (seal strength, COF, GSM, thickness, etc.). Maintain retention samples and manage documentation of test results. Calibrate and maintain QC lab instruments and equipment. 2. Quality Assurance (QA): Develop and implement quality SOPs and inspection plans. Analyze customer complaints and implement corrective & preventive actions (CAPA). Conduct internal audits and participate in external audits (BRC, ISO, etc.). Ensure compliance with regulatory and customer-specific requirements. Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for non-conformities. 3. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain quality records: inspection reports, test data, deviation reports. Prepare weekly/monthly QA/QC performance reports for management review. Track KPIs such as rejection rates, complaints, and first-pass yield.   4. Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives to reduce process variability and material waste. Participate in cross-functional quality improvement projects (Lean, Six Sigma). Train production staff on quality standards and best practices. Key Skills and Competencies: Knowledge of flexible packaging materials (polyethylene, BOPP, PET, etc.). Familiarity with testing standards (ASTM, ISO, etc.). Proficiency in tools like SPC, FMEA, 5 Why, Pareto Analysis. Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving. Effective communication and teamwork.
