The role involves effective production planning, scheduling, and coordination to ensure timely execution of orders, optimum resource utilization, and minimal downtime. Key Responsibilities: Production Planning Develop daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on sales orders, forecast, and machine capacity. Plan and allocate resources (raw materials, manpower, machines) to meet production targets efficiently. Coordinate with the sales, purchase, stores, and production departments to align planning with order requirements. Maintain and update production planning sheets and job cards. Monitoring & Control Monitor actual production against plan; identify and resolve variances or delays. Analyze machine utilization, capacity, and downtime for continuous improvement. Ensure WIP (Work In Progress) tracking and control at every stage (printing, lamination, slitting, pouching). Follow up on pending orders and communicate expected delivery timelines. Inventory & Material Management Coordinate with the purchase and stores departments to ensure timely availability of raw materials and consumables. Minimize raw material shortages and excess inventory through accurate planning. Plan for job changeovers and ensure minimal wastage during transitions. Data Management & Reporting Maintain accurate production records and reports using Excel or ERP systems. Prepare MIS reports related to production efficiency, machine performance, order status, and material consumption. Track KPI metrics such as OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), on-time delivery (OTD), and order fulfillment rates.
