Position: Quality Control (QC) Engineer
Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and committed QC Engineer to join our dynamic team in the tool manufacturing industry, specializing in Pharmaceutical Dies and Punches. In this critical role, you will ensure that all products meet stringent quality standards and specifications required by the pharmaceutical sector. Your primary responsibilities will include developing and implementing robust quality control procedures, inspecting precision-manufactured components, and identifying areas for process or product improvement.
You will work closely with production, design, and vendor teams to resolve quality issues, implement corrective actions, and ensure compliance with industry regulations. Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement quality control procedures tailored to pharma die and punch manufacturing.
Conduct in-process and final inspections to ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish per specifications.
Analyse quality inspection data and report non-conformities with root cause analysis and action plans.
Monitor and manage in-house and vendor rework/rejection activities, and devise improvement strategies.
Prepare and maintain documentation for quality records, inspection reports, and MIS.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to drive continual improvements and reduce defects.
Technical Skills & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Or Diploma.
Prior experience as a QC Engineer in the tool manufacturing industry,
Proficient in drawing interpretation (GD&T knowledge preferred).
Skilled in the use of precision measuring instruments, including:
o
Vernier Caliper
o
Micrometer
o
Hardness Tester
o
Profile Projector
o
Vision Measuring System (VMS)
Strong understanding of quality assurance principles, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action (CAPA).
Excellent documentation and communication skills (verbal and written).
Familiarity with machining, heat treatment, surface finishing, and coating processes relevant to pharma tooling is a plus.
